Carbon Tower: Ensuring Product Integrity
Product Overview
Kenox Air is your partner in achieving the highest standard of air purity. Our Carbon Towers guarantee the elimination of odors and oil vapor, securing compliance with ISO Class 0 regulations and protecting your brand reputation.
Non-Negotiable Purity for Sensitive Industries
For industries where air purity directly impacts the final product—such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and electronics—achieving ISO 8573-1 Class 0 quality is mandatory. Standard filtration alone cannot remove vaporized oil and trace hydrocarbon odors. Our Activated Carbon Towers are engineered as the final safeguard, utilizing the adsorption process to efficiently eliminate residual contaminants, odors, and oil vapor.
How Activated Carbon Works
The tower houses a deep bed of high-quality activated carbon media with an immense surface area. Compressed air passes through this bed, where contaminants (hydrocarbons, odors, and fumes) are adsorbed onto the carbon's surface. This process guarantees an output air quality with negligible oil vapor content, protecting both your process and consumer safety.
Key Features for Ultra-Purity
- Deep-Bed Adsorption: Utilizes a substantial bed of high-grade activated carbon media, ensuring maximum contact time for effective removal of trace oil vapors and odors.
- Low Pressure Drop Design: Engineered housing and media ensure minimal pressure resistance, preserving system flow and contributing to overall energy efficiency during final stage filtration.
- Robust Construction: High-integrity, corrosion-resistant housing (often stainless steel for maximum purity) ensures zero contribution of particulates to the cleaned air stream.
- Saturation Indicators: Equipped with optional oil vapor indicators or test ports to monitor the carbon life, allowing for timely media replacement and guaranteed performance continuity.
- Pre-Filtration Requirement: Designed to operate downstream of a Coalescing Filter to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the activated carbon media.
